California Native Plants

A large part of my interest in landscape architecture derives from my interest in enhancing landscapes from an ecological perspective. My opinion is that, without native plants, landscapes are a fraction of what they could be. It’s not necessary to have an entirely native landscape in order to provide enough sanctuary for our birds. A few carefully selected plants can make a big difference not only to the overall feel of the space but also to whether songbirds, owls and woodpeckers are visiting or making their homes there.
